Joanna Lacy Fingerless Gloves knitted in Lilac Blue Faced Leicester Wool.
I find fingerless gloves really useful. They keep the palms of your hands warm whilst allowing you to work without loosing your grip.
This is part of the Joanna collection named after a good friend.
The Blue Faced Leicester Sheep is a common site in Wensleydale in the autumn as the tups are put to the Swaledale ewes. This produces a mule lamb.
The gloves are loose fitting around the wrists with a lacy wrist band rather than a rib. The back of the palm has a diamond lacy pattern. The lace patterns match and coordinate with the Joanna lacy beanie. The fingers are edged with garter stitch.
The width across the palm and wrist is 11 cms.
The length from the base of the middle finger to the top of the wristband is 11.5 cms.
The length for the base of the middle finger to the edge of the glove is 17.5 cms.
Wool is an excellent fibre for keeping you warm. Combined with the softness of Blue Faced Leicester Wool it makes these gloves lovely to wear.
