A pair of hand warmers knitted in Aran weight wool with a treble clef motif on the back.
I designed these for my cousin's daughter who plays the cello. She loves them because they keep her hands warm whilst her fingers are free to play. They made a lovely present for my daughter's flute teacher.
You will need 50 g of Aran weight yarn in the main colour and a small amount of contrasting yarn for the motif.
One pair of 4.5 mm needles.
I used Blue Faced Leicester Yarn which is really soft and lovely to knit.
The gloves are easy to knit in 1 x 1 rib and stocking stitch.
They are good to try if you have never knitted a 2 colour pattern. When the colour is changed, you just need to twist together the 2 colours and knit with the new colour.
